Kicking off 2010 on a positive note
The beaker chart reflecting our progress toward the $3 million goal is updated monthly with dollar amounts reflecting the prior month (this is due to the time needed to "close the books" and determine the final amount).
I hope you all enjoyed your holidays and I wish you a Happy New Year. Many of you spent time working at the hospital and away from precious family time. Each of you deserve special thanks for your dedication and commitment towards our patients.
We are kicking off 2010 on a positive note regarding our recent beaker results but with a call for renewed focus as we head into the last two months of our campaign.
Our November results remained steady above $3 million, totaling $3,425,000 — just a slight decrease from the $3,475,000 in October. We expect our December numbers to be available in a few weeks. Revenues dropped because of the holiday which was expected.
As we head into January and February, it is very important to remain focused on our goal. We typically see decreases in volumes in these months as new insurance plans take effect, so expense control, efficiency and referring your family and friends will be key to maintaining our level at or above $3 million by the end of February.
We have already seen the great successes that have come from your teamwork this past year, and I expect this teamwork and vigilant focus to continue so that all of us can receive our retroactive performance increase. I have asked your managers to be certain all reviews are completed over the next few weeks.
We are in the “home stretch,” and I am excited to see how we pull together.
Mark
